Informatics commenced its operations on 5th May, 1980, starting with journal subscription business. The first client of Informatics was IIM , Bangalore. During the last three decades of dedicated service to our valuable clients in the area of information products and services, Informatics has also diversified into marketing of electronic databases(CDROMS), providing information management solutions - both hardware and software- electronic publishing and content development etc.

The journal subscription business still continues to be the main focus of the company, contributing to 2/3 rd of its revenues. Presently, we cater to a niche market of over 300 clients providing them " Scientific, Technical and Scholarly foreign Journals, Reviews and Reports  on all subject categories.

Computerised Operations
All operations involved in handling your subscriptions are computerized through an in-house subscription management software. With the result the entire process is speeded up and human intervention /errors are minimized.

Consolidation Centers
We operate through journal consolidation centers in USA and UK. The journal issues are locally mailed by the publishers to our consolidation centers from where they are air freighted to our Corporate Office at Bangalore, at our own expense. The journal issues are checked in, inspected, re-packed and then delivered to the client through a recorded delivery system which can be tracked on the web. Data mining scholarly content in STM areas from authentic, non-partisan sources. Indexing the same content using a proprietary thesaurus.

Claim Handling
The journal issues receipts are recorded through an in-house subscription management software program, which enables tracking down the missing issues/non commencement of issues, effectively and sending claims to the publishers on time.

Door Delivery
Journal issues will be door delivered to you through courier service. All this at no extra cost.
